FYI: This is based on fairy tales that predate Grimm. True to the source, its good, but don't expect Disney. So you can blame any misogyny on the 17th century, Adeba! :)
Not true. The first king dies killing the serpent to please his wife's desires. The prince loses his albino twin (lover?) to please his mother and the 2nd king loses his daughters love in his greed. If anything the movie says magic is not to be played with. Magic makes everyone suffer.
Physically stunning, some amazing performances! and it *does* go somewhere.. 3 potentially brilliant tales full of genuine fairy/folk tale elements end up demonizing, betraying and/or physically savaging every female character while the more evil the man, the less he suffers.
Fantasy horror involving witches, sea serpents, twin princes, an ogre, a lonely princess and a gigantic flea. Good looking but goes nowhere.
